Howard Humphreys is proud to announce that Wambui Maina – Senior Structural Engineer and Digital Transformation champion received the Joint Building Council Prize from the University of Nairobi on 7th May 2021 in recognition for presenting the best Postgraduate research project in M.A. (Construction Management) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction Management – 2017/2018.
The research entailed an investigation into the role of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in reducing cost and time overruns experienced in 2-dimensional based construction, building on her practical experience gained on work-based projects.
Our BIM capability has proven to be a key ingredient in propelling us towards delivering value to our clients within budget and time constraints, among other benefits as illustrated below.
The Covid 19 pandemic came with its challenges, but also served as a dive board for the developing world to further embrace digital technology in construction. The last year has seen the advent of numerous valuable digital technologies spanning across various processes in the industry and as Howard Humphreys, we look forward to being on the vanguard of this move in Kenya and Africa in general.
This achievement continues to reinstate Howard Humphreys commitment to promoting excellence and the expertise our staff offer to our clients. We congratulate Wambui for the great work and thank her for the commitment and dedication. Proud again!
