Kilimanjaro International Airport Design Review & Site Supervision

Kilimanjaro International Airport which was built in 1970 required a major improvement of its infrastructure and extension of taxiways and aprons to accommodate increased air traffic at the airport.
The Scope of work involved
Remodeling and extension of passenger’s areas and services at the terminal building, extension and rehabilitation of aprons taxiways.
Improvement of the water supply and sewage system.
Services provided included:
• Rehabilitation and upgrading of existing taxiways, apron, terminal building
• The extension and rehabilitation of the cross runway
• Resurfacing of the apron
• The rehabilitation of the general aviation, terminal building and channel
• Upgrading existing drainage system and provision of subsurface drainage to lower ground water table along pavement structures.
• Environmental and Civil works
