The project involved provision of feasibility study for installation of 50MW wind turbines at Ngong Hills for KenGen and connecting the power produced to the National Grid.

The scope of the works involved provision of a report on typical geology of the area, estimation of unit rates for basic civil works and machinery, overview of locally used standard concrete grades and reinforcement steels together with all related technical parameters as material strength, diameters for reinforcement steel bars etc.
A research on the sizes / capacities of mobile cranes in Kenya including maximum handling capability at maximum height, likely hire companies and their addresses were also required.
